“Hey everyone! It’s Apollo again, but for this episode, I have a very, very special guest!”
–Apollo, Remember to like and subscribe!
Originally, Apollo wanted to be a movie star. With a cheap digital camera and endless determination, they would go to their nearest temperate rainforest and film their own action-adventure movies.
But when their exploring resulted in a fatal mistake, they found themselves to later be revived as Jirachi’s emissary.
With the changing of the times, Apollo decided to take up a new, but similar hobby – vlogging. The scene was new, and they were determined to get in on it. They soon found themselves with the fame they desired, and every night they would comb their comments for wishes to grant.
One night, after a meteor shower, they received notice of a loner in Sinnoh’s wish to have a true friend. Intrigued, Apollo sent them a letter… and the two would begin exchanging letters frequently, becoming ever closer.
Though they might be different at first glance, could this loner’s wish end up granting Apollo’s deepest dreams as well?
Appearance
Apollo is 6’0″, with a slightly chubby and muscular build. They have grey eyes, and light blonde hair – the bottom half of which they’ve dyed a tealish blue color. They have an X-shaped scar in the middle of their face – this however, is optional, as it’s only stage makeup.
They’re often seen wearing island-esque clothing, with an overall color combo of blues, yellows, and browns.
Apollo was designed by Dracupa
Personality
Apollo is definitely… enthusiastic. They have a go-to attitude and will stop at nothing to see their plans through. This, of course, has resulted in them getting themselves in dangerous situations in the past, but even then, they remain optimistic.
With others, they have a very bro-like attitude, always willing to encourage their friends and offer support. They’re definitely the type to remind you to drink water.
Story
I’ll get to it… eventually.
Skills
Emissary of Jirachi:
- Wish granting:
- Though Jirachi is only capable of granting 3 wishes every time a special comet comes by in folklore, they’re actually fully capable of granting wishes whenever they please – it just depends on how practical the wishes are.
- For example, Apollo cannot create new objects from a wish, but they can relocate objects.
- Though Jirachi is only capable of granting 3 wishes every time a special comet comes by in folklore, they’re actually fully capable of granting wishes whenever they please – it just depends on how practical the wishes are.
- Internal clock of meteor showers:
- Apollo is capable of telling when and where meteor showers and comets will fall.
- Conditional immortality:
- Legends stop aging physically at age 21, after that, they do not age and as such, cannot die from old age, though they can be killed through other means.
Charisma
- While they might not be the most technically talented at filmmaking, their charisma makes up for it. They seem to know just what to say and when to say it, and never miss a beat while speaking.
- Most of their films were, in fact, improvised and unscripted. They’re quite good at improv.
Relationships
Sasha – Partner
Sasha absolutely blows Apollo’s mind – they never would’ve expected a random loner in the Wildlands to be someone they’d fall for. They greatly admire their writing talent and feel like they could talk to them about storytelling forever.
Felicity – Complicated
Felicity and Apollo argue over the smallest of things; but despite everything, Apollo recognizes that Felicity is struggling like they themselves once were, and wants to help… even if Felicity claims she doesn’t need it.
Lucas – Friend
Apollo kind of thinks Lucas is ‘just some kid’, but has been willing to extend some motivation and advice to him due to his proximity to Felicity. They try to keep up with his discussions on media, but everything is too recent for Apollo’s tastes.
Trivia
- Apollo’s pelipper’s name is Patricia
- Before their initial death, the type of movies they’d film were comparable to low-budget Indiana Jones knockoffs.
- Before the final battle against Ramiel, Apollo and Sasha did not know eachother were legends; despite it being a bit glaringly obvious.
- Most definitely sent their friends the ‘I lived bitch’ meme after being revived.
- Their fake scar is their attempt at an explanation for going ‘missing’ for nearly 20 years.
Meta commentary
- I think I once described Apollo’s exact flavor of genderfluid as a ‘metronome between transfem, butch, and [wavy hand motion]’.
