Daji

Daji is named after one of her ancestors – a wicked Zoroark who wrought chaos upon the Western continent with her cursed treasures of ruin.
…A naming choice that Daji loathes notably.

Unlike her ancestor, Daji seeks peace above all else. Having grown up during the population crisis of Lostlorn Forest, she wants nothing more than the various clans of Lostlorn to stop their bloody territory disputes and learn to get along.

Daji figured her notorious namesake would be enough to make people listen, but when an outsider took a swath of the forest by force and humiliatingly defeated Daji, she grew apathetic towards attempting to resolve the conflict.

It would only be years later that the child of the same outsider who defeated her would come to her for help – wishing to learn what their mother would not teach them.
Reluctant at first, Daji agreed to train the child named Spinch – and was quickly able to regain her spark due to their energy, as well as make amends with their mother Lune.

At Lune’s request, Daji accompanied Spinch to their trip to the neighboring region of Paldea to keep an eye on them. And while Spinch seemed to grow fine on their own, Daji quickly became wrapped up in her own chaos – because the evil spirits of her family past had not died; they were only sleeping.

Appearance

Daji is 5’4″, with a muscular-average build. She has long hair with bangs that cover her eyes most of the time, split into black and dark red sections. She has cyan blue eyes, and zoroark ears atop her head – as she cites copying a human ear to be confusing.

While she’s not incredibly knowledgeable about modern humanity’s culture in fashion, Spinch often takes her to the rural thrift stores around the Nimbasa outskirts to play dress up.
