Originally, Roto-Mikoto was behind keeping the computers and servers of Team Plasma’s P2 Lab running smoothly. However, when Team Plasma was busted for good, Roto-Mikoto was left behind – stuck in a slowly rotting system on an island with nowhere to go for miles.
When Team Plasma’s ex-scientist lead Colress came to shut the systems off for good to destroy sensitive data, he noticed Mikoto was still there – and offered them a new placement as a lab assistant and manager of his supercomputer.
Roto-Mikoto agreed, and so started their new life. Thanks to the freedoms their new trainer and living situation allowed for, Mikoto did so much more than managing the system and assisting in the lab – they discovered a whole new world online.
With games, chatrooms, and virtual personalities, Roto-Mikoto has never felt more at home – and as long as they can get a day’s work done, they don’t mind waiting for the internet in the slightest.
Appearance
Roto-Mikoto does not have a true humanoid appearance – outside of the machine they occupy, they are simply a rotom.
But in the digital realm, they have a specialized reactive avatar to represent themselves – drawn to their specifications by Ridley.
This avatar has 3 models – a feminine form, a masculine form, and a ‘chibi’ form. Though the builds of these models vary, Roto-Mikoto’s avatars all share bright orange hair, swirly tinted glasses, and sharp teeth.

Personality
Roto-Mikoto is a good embodiment of a playful ghost type – they’re fun-loving and enjoy causing small harmless pranks for a good laugh. They’re particularly masterful in the art of ‘trolling’, both in online multiplayer games and in chatrooms and comment sections.
However, they also thrive off of praise – so when they’re asked to follow directions or given some sort of task, Roto-Mikoto will be sure to see it through and done to the best degree… but only if they know the person giving them the task will reward them. If they don’t trust someone, they are incredibly stubborn.

Skills
Rotom:
- As a Rotom, Roto-Mikoto has the ability to posses and control electronics. As they were originally trained with them, Mikoto favors computers and control systems, and is good at organizing files and controlling mechanisms around Colress’s lab.
- Roto-Mikoto is not suit for battle on their own, however they’d probably do just fine if they possessed one of Colress’s gunpla.
Trolling:
- Even if it’s a skill that just makes people mad, it’s a skill nonetheless. Though the Harmonia family is (mostly) safe from Mikoto’s antics, the poor randoms in their game lobbies are not. They enjoy using outdated typing quirks and game exploits to elicit rage reactions from other players, which they find hilarious.
Relationships
Colress – Boss
Even if Colress is technically Mikoto’s boss, they think he’s a super cool one. Not only are they grateful for rescuing them from the P2 Lab, but they’re also appreciative of the fact that the computer he provided them to live in is fancy. Colress is the only person Mikoto will listen to.
N – Colleague
Roto-Mikoto kind of thinks N is an egghead, but has learned to warm up to him since he commonly works with Colress. N is however not immune to small pranks that Mikoto pulls when Colress isn’t looking.
Lune – Enjoys tormenting
Lune is very easy to tease and annoy, which Roto-Mikoto loves. What Roto-Mikoto DOESN’T love is how quick Lune’s temper is, and has had to reach agreements with Colress to not piss her off so bad so she doesn’t break things to get back at Mikoto.
Spinch – Friends
Spinch is fun! They seem to like Roto-Mikoto’s pranks, and even assist them in them sometimes. Still, Mikoto doesn’t like Spinch trying to open every file they can find out of curiosity.
Trivia
- Mikoto gets VERY upset when mistaken for an AI assistant.
- They chose their name themselves, combining roto- with a character from a video game’s name.
- …Their name, in meta, is a reference to MySims.
- They sometimes play ‘fetch’ with Genesect, by ejecting discs at a fast speed for it to catch and eat. Colress does not like this.
- Mikoto’s favorite online games are MMORPGs.
