The Ultra Ruin was once the thriving hub of the deoxys empire… until Ramiel went on a rampage, and completely destroyed the once bustling metropolis. The ruin gave way to the incredibly dangerous guzzlord, who currently eat away at the decaying ruins. There is no natural light due to Ramiel absorbing it all, with the ruins only being illuminated by the eerie glow of the Ultra Station above.
While life is scarce, the history and intrigue brings a brave few to its domain.
Environment
The ruins were once a heavily-developed city, styled almost like a cubical maze with buildings, doors, and windows on all sides. The architecture of which is reminiscent of mid-2000’s Hau’oli city, due a to deoxys mission to the outside world gathering image data, which then became trendy style-wise.
But in the time since Ramiel’s rampage, the city has been completely abandoned. While many of the core structures remain intact due to the resistance of the material deoxys used, they’re simply shells of what once was.
The biggest problem wasn’t necessarily that the city had been destroyed beyond repair; while the sheer destruction was definitely a problem, the over-saturated energy from Ramiel’s power attracted the ravenous guzzlord in swarms, which made the ruins incredibly dangerous. The effects of this energy are remarkably similar to the effects one would get from radiation poisoning.
Despite Ramiel’s rampage being long over, the over-saturation of energy remains, and is almost oppressive. Those who dare visit often wear special respirators to avoid the effects.
The light that was absorbed has not returned either, leaving the ruins plunged in darkness, with only the residual artificial light from the station above illuminating anything.
Infrastructure
While once the premier example of infrastructure in Ultra Space, there’s nothing left now. The skeletons of buildings are even starting to decay, despite being built with a prized secret material developed by deoxys.
However, to those that decide to explore the ruins, there may be hidden rarities. Deoxys are known for keeping their technology fairly locked down, so considering the ruins used to be their empire’s center, one could expect remnants of these technologies may remain. And to those looking to make a quick buck – or possibly a fortune – the temptation can be overwhelming.
While what’s left has mostly been picked clean by scavengers or eaten by guzzlord, but there are rumors of a final, grand treasure that remains.
Society
Simply put, any semblance of society in the ruins is long gone. Guzzlord is not a sentient species, and it’s largely the only species that still inhabits the ruins.
Any sentient species that hide out in the ruins tend to be hostile, as the reason they stay in the ruins for an extended time is usually related to personal greed. However, there is one notable individual who stays in the ruins solely to warn others.

Guzzlord
At the end of it all, there is only guzzlord.
Guzzlord is a massive ultra beast that feeds off of destruction – figuratively, and quite literally. The beast can sense imbalances of celestial energy caused by mass destruction, and will quickly swarm to the source and begin devouring any debris or remnants from the destruction, not caring what or who is in it’s way.
When guzzlord gets tired of its current meal, it rampages on to cause its own disasters – making it a beast that’s considered a core threat to Ultra Spacian society.
Many will simply abandon all hope when guzzlord enters their homeland, as they are extremely difficult to kill, with capture out of the picture.
There are only a chosen few who can consider themselves capable of taking out a guzzlord, but unfortunately those who do tend to consider dealing with them to be a waste of resources, as a dead guzzlord will quickly turn into a useless ash once killed.
The guzzlord that swarm the ruins tend to be considered a ‘death trap’, as trying to interrupt their eating usually results in one’s violent demise. They seem to be immune to the effects of the over-saturated celestial energy.
Scavengers
While not technically a species, per say, so called ‘scavengers’ from various sentient species will venture into the ruins in search of riches, glory, or simply to for the rush.
Many scavengers will wear full-body suits and respirators that protect them from the overwhelming, radioactive-like energy that saturates the area. These suits are frequently painted in the colors of guzzlord, in hopes it will make the wearer seem less noticeable to the beasts.
