This is not quite an introduction, and more of an extension of one.
As I’ve begun to share and be more open with my works, I feel that it’d be best to clearly define my comforts, boundaries, and usage terms regarding what I create.
Please keep in mind that Pokeau is, and probably always will be, a closed development project. Its only purpose is as a source of personal enrichment and happiness, and because of this, I am generally not open to things like RP and outside character interaction.
What is the ‘age rating’ for Pokeau?
Pokeau is 16+
I’d really prefer if those who interacted with things I create or curate be at least 16. Ideally I’d want to make it 18+ because I feel like an old man sometimes, but there’s nothing that really warrants that – so I’ll live with just 16+ for now. This rating is due to swearing, drug use, death, grief, intensified criminal activity, and other mature subject matter.
Can I take inspiration from Pokeau’s story elements and worldbuilding?
Yes!
What do I look like, a cop? Of course you can. Who cares. If you intentionally take inspiration though, credit would always be nice! And chances are I’d love to see what you’ve done.
Can I take inspiration from Pokeau’s character archetypes and designs?

Again, do I look like the brain police? Don’t blatantly copy them and I don’t care. However, I will note that design inspiration should be taken with caution, since a handful of character designs within Pokeau were created by other people who may not be as lenient. Just don’t copy them stroke for stroke or try to sell copies.
Can I use Pokeau’s original characters for TTRPG/faceclaims/etc?
I’d really prefer if you didn’t!
So, this one really depends, I guess. While I really would prefer if you didn’t use Pokeau’s characters flat out, I understand that people (especially younger people, as I did myself) can sometimes get weird attachments to other people’s OCs in their head. And that’s kind of hard to control!
So, if you have some weird tangential headworld based off Pokeau’s characters in your head? You do you – I just request that for your comfort and mine, that you keep this in your head and do not share it publicly whatsoever. What I don’t know can’t hurt me, after all.
Can I edit or repost media showcased here?
No. Never.
This one’s pretty standard for most artists, but it’s work stating anyways. Do not repost or edit anything on this website, whether created by myself or someone else, unless explicitly stated to be F2U in the sozai. It’s disrespectful to the artist in question and frustrating for all parties once a confrontation happens.
In this vein – you are not allowed to otherwise attempt to turn a profit from my work or the works of others showcased here, including video compilations, ANY AI use, or straight up attempting to resell character designs.
Can I make fanart?
Yes, but keep it SFW!
I’m super flattered when people make art for me! Imagine I’m like. Putting it on the fridge in my mind with a heart magnet.
I just simply request that things are kept SFW, outside of explicitly stated character-specific exceptions. Generally, this means no sexual content or violence/gore.

Generally I’m a little less open about writing than I am with art, simply due to the amount of nuances within Pokeau that have yet to be typed anywhere. I’d really prefer if you talked to me about whatever idea you had in mind if any, because then I could provide some additional guidance to help!
