Hi howdy!

May god have mercy on my soul.

A few days ago, I finished refreshing every character’s bio… which means… it’s migration time! Finally! So expect things to be a bit of a mess here until that’s done, lol.

Though alongside some related re-styling of certain things, that’s really all I’ve got to report on! It’s just one big thing instead of a bunch of small things this time around.

Also, this is the first 2-consecutive-weeks FFF in… months? So that’s pretty cool.

Updated the general graphic templates for things like icons and embeds.

Hi howdy!

I… may be sleepy.

Which isn’t new, I’m always sleepy. But it’s been a productive period since the last FFF, I think! Multiple things on the todo list finally got squared away, so my outlook for the new year is optimistic!

Most noticeably, the pages for locations and townships (using Waterfall as my text subject) have been revamped, and I’ll work on rolling this out to the other location pages soon.
There’s also some new gimmick things and minor updates described below!

Added the favorite character picker, using the code from Cave of Dragonflies. Enjoy the endless pain!

Added a ~secret~ gacha machine, will be made live as I work on more code for it (currently it just has a pulling function right now).

Added the Harmonia family shrine to my personal corner. It’s a bit embarrassing but who cares.

This doesn’t really count but I made a bunch of zorua images transparent so. There’s a lot more FFF images now.

Overhauled the location + township page layouts! Currently only live for Ultra Waterfall and the Town of Waterfall.

Updated the random character picker… finally!

I FIGURED OUT HOW TO MAKE THE WEBSITE MOBILE-COMPATIBLE!! This was discovered while building the revamped Waterfall pages, I’ll roll it out to other pages as soon as I can ^^

It’s only 7pm!! I’m not late!! Don’t worry about it!!

Not as major of an update as the last one, mostly me shuffling stuff around in the background to prepare for the mass migration of bios! Speaking of which, progress refreshing old bios + writing new ones has been going very well! I’m hoping sometime mid-January or sooner I’ll be able to start the mass migration.
Some of this shuffling can be seen, but it mostly involved redoing the character bio + gallery layouts. It hasn’t yet been rolled out to existing character bios, as I’m waiting until it’s migration time!

Comment icons will assign you a pokemon now, because I wanted to distract myself from real changes that needed to be made.

Added the sitemap.

Added the exceptions and active legends pages.

Overhauled the character bio layout + gallery page display – currently not rolled out to everyone’s pages and galleries.

Added Gen 9 style party icons to the page for the Town of Waterfall for the notable figures, as well as added more notable figures. These will be the standard style icons for these, as well as the species descriptions for broader locations.

Made the Characters page a bit more presentable, still need to do some changes.

Uhh… oops. I forgot to post these for a hot moment! Sorry! …But not really.

Ever since the 8th anniversary, I’ve been busy for good reason! I’m actually doing things! Wow!
Most of this is on Toyhouse for now – I’m slowly but surely refreshing oc bios to make them up to date – once this is done, I’ll mass-mirror everything here! I’m just opting to get it all done first because I feel like it’d get messy if I mirrored them as I got them individually done.

Lots of site changes, too! Most are kind of half-assed placeholders but it’s something! I feel like it’d be easier to describe them in bullets below.

Lastly, thank you to the Yesterweb Ring and Original Hearts ring for letting me in the club! You can find their webring pages linked on the Global Link page. I’m always open to affiliate with others or join webrings, so you can always shoot me an idea on the guestbook! (wait, what guestbook?)

Added (very barebones and wippy) guestbook page! Though I have commenting enabled on archive entries and news posts, I figured a proper place to say words would be nice.

Added Zin’s corner! A little space for/about me and some more silly things that aren’t explicitly Pokeau-related.

Added the ‘theatre’ tag for videos and animations.

Added a fancier WIP page notice.

Edited the directory! A bit of a WIP since world links are mostly a mess but I made space for them, as well as added some of the new pages. A non-functional flattened sitemap link is also there, TBA in the future!

Edited the map, it uses leafletJS now! I’ll eventually add in the maps for everything else and make links functional.

Overhaul of the characters page was done due to the plugin I use for it updating automatically to an entire overhauled version. Still making it look pretty, but at least it’s functional now!

Made modifications to the new character template, including a music player instead a link and some fancy CSS… it’s not live yet and confined to a test profile but it’s worth noting.

Generally just cleaned stuff up.

Here’s a late update! My brain’s been messier than normal so I’ve been all over the place. I had meant to do a Halloween update, but got swept up in NaNoWriMo kickoff stuff.

There’s a few small updates around the site, a big update to the archives, and I’ll return the layout to normal after I finish work! Those will be noted below.

But more importantly…

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet come out in 18 days!! My planned story includes two ‘protags’, Spinch and Ruby. However, obviously, you can only play in-game as one character. So… battle time! Whoever wins the poll will be the ‘official’ protag. It’ll also probably determine which version I get because I’m still undecided on that, lol.

Poll closes at midnight on November 18th!

Added around ~120 images to the archive! The majority of these were key-style transparent fullbodies I was planning on eventually using on the character bio pages, so I never archived them. But since that’s taking me forever as-is I just thought I’d put them up now.

Added some flair to the relationships section on a few character bios, will work on copying this to everyone in the future!

Edited a handful of character bios to include links where applicable (i.e. other character names will link to that character)

So… looks kinda different around here, huh? Decided to make the executive decision to make the place look a specific kind of tacky for spooky season! It’s temporary, don’t worry : p

Aside from… all that, I did some minor sorting/backend changes while I procrastinate on the bigger things that are actually on my to-do list, lol. I’ll get to those someday, I prommy.

Added new tags and a tag navigation to the library page. The previously ‘unused’ mood tags are there. as well as wordcount tags.

Edited overall site aesthetic to be… festive.

The random character on the sidebar now picks from the full character pool instead of just main characters.

Been a while! I fell off due to my health again, but over the past… 2? 3? weeks I’ve been able to shuffle some things around a tad!

Nothing too major though, and the todo list is still mostly the same, haha. Maybe I’ll get enough done so I can actually make these weekly like I intended?

Added the silly title stingers! There’s currently 4 randomly chosen phrases, but I’ll add more as I can think of them.

Added a bunch of custom CSS changes to various pages and widgets. I’ll continue these until I finally like how things look, lol.

Whoops…

I had really meant to keep up with posting the FFF updates, but alas, the severe heat here means a severe flareup for me. I haven’t been able to do much in the past 2 weeks thanks to that, but there are some changes!

These are most notably backend changes, like addition of new tags and some reskinning.

Added Tiamat and Justice’s pages

Added new tags! The first is Zin’s collection, to indicate works made by myself. The second is a set of ship name tags so pairing artwork isn’t just floating around. These tags are linked on the Neverending romance page!

The directory has been slightly recoded to look a bit less like a bunch of links thrown together. There’s still some things to iron out with it that I’ll get to later.

So, uh… how’s it going?
My health has been in the dumps for the last two weeks but I’m trying my best to bounce back now! Because of this I hadn’t been able to work on any site updates, so I had no reason to post a FFF update.

It’s still going pretty slow, but I was able to make some small changes here and there ^^

Figured I’d maybe try giving this a shot again – ‘this’ being regular update logs. You know, like those cool fansites that actually have it together! And what better way to do so than to do it on funny fox friday! My personal favorite day.

…This is actually just a glorified weekly changelog, but I like being dramatic.

There’s been a lot of changes since the last pre-artfight changelog, so I’ll try and summarize as best I can!
